As we kick off 2020, we ’re excited to announce our investment in Chooch, Visual Artificial Intelligence firm founded by two brothers, Emrah and Hakan.

One of the main reasons causing the environment’s destruction is wildfires; they are going out of control because of the lag between the initial ignition and its detection - exponentially harder for larger areas of vegetation. Chooch will reduce the time between a fire’s eruption and detection by scouring hyper-detailed imagery from satellites for evidence of wildfires largely invisible to the naked eye over 33 million acres of forest, saving lives and natural resources.
