As business representatives of 2359, our team is oftentimes the first point of contact when it comes to establishing business relations with external parties. With a diverse group of clients, we aim to tailor-make solutions that suit each client’s unique needs and to foster close professional relationships with all of our clients.

What do you enjoy about being an Account Manager?
The opportunity to be the face of the company, playing the role of a connector between our customers and our company and overseeing the closing of projects and the delivery of valuable products.
What is something that you have achieved personally and professionally while working at 2359?
Technical knowledge for sure :) I came in with 0 tech background but the team has been extremely patient and helpful. Over the past year, I’ve able to get myself up to speed with technical knowledge and build my confidence in the selling of technical products & services to our clients.
What are your goals in 2021 as an Account Manager?
To bring in higher-value projects, nurturing high-value accounts, and being involved in cool projects :)

What do you enjoy about being an Account Manager?
Being able to upgrade myself with the massive opportunities in certification courses and also applying them to different scenarios for every individual client.
What is something that you have achieved personally and professionally while working at 2359?
With the help of folks in the office, I have managed to complete my certification for AWS Cloud Practitioner in 1 month’s time and am currently pursuing a certified scrum product owner course.
Business prospects wise, there has been a variety of meetings and situations. It has allowed me to get exposed to different kinds of projects be it being big or small, complex or simple, working in different kinds of scenarios and delivering requirements to the best standards. It has helped me to understand the different kinds of requirements in-depth and some technical knowledge for the solutions proposed.
This has also given me an opportunity to compose myself and understand the different layers of solutions and structured costings for each requirement whilst presenting them to the clients.
What are your goals in 2021 as an Account Manager?
Ability to handle business with a certain level of technical knowledge so as to be able to perform quick assessments of requirements and also to have a deeper understanding of technical aspects and solutions should clients ask on the spot.

What do you enjoy about being an Account Manager?
Being an individual who loves challenges, I find it fulfilling to break down client needs and provide them with solutions to address their problems.
The beauty of it all is that each client, their needs, and our proposed solution is different. Hence I’m learning something new everyday as well.
What is something that you have achieved personally and professionally while working at 2359?
While it’s not something I’ve achieved yet, I’m about to complete a User Experience course that I’ve been taking for the past 8 months. This is a topic that I’ve been interested in for some time back so it’s quite surreal that the course is coming to an end.
What are your goals in 2021 as an Account Manager?
While there are many interesting projects out there, I think my goal for 2021 is to work on one that I resonate with / feel meaning towards. For instance, something like sustainability or LGBTQ-related.

What is your role at 2359?
My role in 2359 at the moment is a hybrid of both Account Manager and Project Manager! It is an exciting role as I get to try a combination of job functions. I have always loved getting out of my comfort zone and it seems like this new journey is definitely gonna be a ride ;) I will be on the Intuiteam at the moment, so if you are looking for hires within your company for tech engineers, hit me up! I’m always up for a bubble tea/coffee/cocktail run!
What are your expectations as an AM/PM? Could you share about your past experience?
I guess I didn’t have any expectations considering the fact that I came in from a completely different industry. I was from the marine engineering industry which deals mainly with servicing huge huge vessels such as tankers you see along the East Coast Park! I would like to think that my adaptability is a key strength that I have from past job experience! I actually worked in China for 2 years prior to heading back. The learning curve was high but I managed alright. That’s why for this role, I feel that being adaptable and quick in learning would help me in gaining traction within this role. ;)
What are you looking to achieve personally and professionally at 2359?
Recently, I just set out my 5-year vision statement which I hope to achieve, and a constant reminder to myself too. I know that I’m still on a journey without a destination, so I would be contented to just be a better version of myself by value-adding to other’s people lives in whichever way I can. I continuously develop my troubleshooting skills and mentoring skills for the sheer joy of giving away my love, with confidence and with authority.”
So I guess that’s what I would want to achieve personally and professionally as I feel work and life are intertwined anyway!
