Miguel Llanque: Music of Context
Watch my interview with Bolivian new music composer Miguel Llanque. He is dedicated to the study of traditional Andean music and to the creation of new instrumental sound sources with and without electronics. He has composed music for different instrumental formats, both for invented and conventional instruments, music for film, theater, dance and sound installations. He is a founding member of the Casataller space in the city of La Paz and is part of the collective of composers and performers that directs it. He is the artistic director of Ensamble Maleza, as a performer has focused his work on the interpretation and dissemination of contemporary music created by bolivian and international composers, with an emphasis on music created in Latin America.
