Smart Links: The Hero Non-Profits Imminently Need

Smart Links are a technological business growth solution that requires zero upfront cost and cements the support of an operation’s existing customers, investors or supporters. The technology can be just as effectively applied for sourcing investments or donations.

While it may not be obvious, charities are some of the most expensive operations to promote. Smaller causes are often in the shadow of massive charity operations headlined by celebrities, endorsed by governments, or established centuries ago.

Google Adwords competition for the keyword “donation” is so high that it costs almost $10 per click.
The cost per click (CPC) for donation ads rises to almost $15 in the UK.
The above table shows CPC distribution for the keyword “luxury SUV.”

It’s startling that the peak cost per click for “luxury SUV” is less than $10 yet for “donation” is almost $15!

However, this figure is not surprising given that annual donations from just the US amount to over $400 billion. Charity is a major industry, and tech/media firms that profit from advertising products earn massive sums from this industry. What donors do not realize is that advertising charitable causes is a major operational expense and simply sourcing donations eats up a major chunk of the funds that were meant to finance a positive cause. The discrepancy between the funds given to a charity and the funds eventually received by those the funds are meant to help is just as startling as the CPC for keyword “donation.” Lists of charities spend more money on operational expenses than on actual charitable programs.

Marketing is Important

Heads of charitable organizations and non-profits justifiably assert that marketing is an important part of the project. Without marketing, causes are unable to source funding, volunteers, and supporters. As more and more causes compete for donors’ funds, marketing plays an ever-important role in maintaining the relevance of a charity.

However, marketing charitable causes through traditional means has become overly competitive. Competing for “donations” should not cost more than competing for “luxury SUV” sales, but it does. It’s imperative that charitable causes have access to a qualified alternative.

Smart Links are the Future of Promoting Charities

Most charities, even the smallest ones, are founded by a support network comprised of volunteers, administrators, and/or donors. These supporters are the most powerful social seed, a foundation for launching the most powerful 2key campaigns.

2key Network’s Smart Links allow charitable causes to empower their support network to be the source of growth. Smart Link-bound content, social pages, websites, etc. can be shared by a charity’s supporters on to colleagues, family, friends, acquaintances, neighbors, etc. The recipients of Smart Link shares can have an incentive to help the charity grow as a portion of donated funds is paid to them. Thus, charities are able to access highly targeted audiences that are likely to convert through Smart Link campaigns, which do not require any upfront cost and involve a payment only when funds are donated.

The conversion payment, which can be either nill or up to 20% of the sourced donation, is passed on to the charity’s existing support network or to individuals close to the charity’s supporters; this reinforces the devotion of existing supporters while drawing organic exposure to new supporters.

Rather than having to compete for clicks at exorbitant prices, with payments due regardless of the success of a sourced click, charities are about to receive a radically different growth solution: Smart Links. The greatest aspect of promoting charitable causes with SLs is that conversion payments are made to charity’s supporters or the network of the charity’s supporters, thus placing a probability of sourcing conversion payments back to the charity.
