Whatever truth you’re looking for as a new writer, I hope you find them within the lines of this post.

I compiled this short guide from my experiences and struggles.

Spiced with large doses of inspiration to motivate and fuel your drive, I hope it guides your creative journey, too.

12 Writing Lessons:

— Your learning process never ends. There's always something new to learn.

— Keep an open mind with every story you write. There's always room to tweak something if it isn't working.

— Shame should have no hold over your creative art. You’re the director of your story. Express freely, without inhibitions.

— Spice up your work with subtle things about your life. It makes for inside jokes and good laughs.

— Don’t write when you are hungry or sleepy. Your script will look like a war zone. Trust me, I know.

— Learn to embrace your failures. It’s an inevitable part of your creative process.
