When Elon Musk started SpaceX, he estimated the chance of it’s success to be about 40%. And he proceeded. Why? Because if it worked out, it would workout really really big, and if it didn’t at least he would have tried.

There are things we fear doing such as starting a business or starting a work new project. That fear is not going away but we can convince ourselves to overcome it. We can overwhelm it in our mind with potential.

Tim Ferriss, who has the no. 1 business podcast on iTunes, asked himself a question before recording it: how can’t I lose? His answer: even if the podcast never took off, he would improve how he speaks and learn to ask better questions.

What would you learn even if you failed? How would you understand something better?
