“I love that picture because it speaks to how much I enjoy playing with Hany. That particular concert was particularly memorable because it was an excruciatingly hot June day, the AC was hardly working at Bikya and the room we were playing in was so packed that people were standing on the stage, but there was an amazing energy in the crowd. It was also the first time I sang one of my favorite songs, The Olive Tree. Everyone was so engaged, I think Hany and I had come in so unprepared but we both came out thinking it was a really special performance.” — Farida
