Pinshape designer wins grand prize at Shining 3D Fashion Show!
The Shining3D Fashion Contest has come to an end, with the conclusion of the World 3D Printing and Technology Industry Conference & Expo in Chengdu, China. There were pieces of 3D printed clothing, jewellery, and accessories. Five Pinshape entries won various prizes with lots of Pinshapers as finalists and having their pieces displayed on the runway!

Grand Prize
Fallen Angel dress by Piece

Piece is a small team from Korea who love 3D art pieces. Their members include Joo Yunsik, Lee Soyeon, Lee Hyunsu, and Joo Junesik. They’ve made 3D designs for nine dresses. To channel their passion, they’ve started a Piece 3D Printing Fashion Studio for collaborating with creative designers.
Grand Prize consists of:

Printed Facial Makeup by Wu Yonghe
Yonghe Wu graduated from the Institute of Arts and Crafts in Xiamen in 2009, then founded Taishiyike after his graduation — the first team in the Fujian province dedicated to art design that was combined with 3D printing technology. The team’s designs have received high praises and they’ve won more than 9 awards.

Hex Chain Dress by Min-Chieh Che
Hex Chain Dress by Min-Chieh Chen and Mahuika by Han-Yin Hsu from Pinshape
Min-Chieh Chen is an architectural researcher at Tamkang University (MA) and an architect at ETHZ (MAS), as well at the co-founder of Lung Lung Designs Co., LTD. He has worked and researched about digital fabrication, parametric material design, and simulation of design processes in the architectural field since 2003. Now he focuses on finding possibilities to combine physical computing and programming in architectural design.
Mahuika necklace in background by Han-Yin Hsu
Han-Yin Hsu founded ANNXANNXDESIGN in 2013 in Los Angeles, California. They think of the body as a landscape for jewelry. Their designs are focused on expressing the elegance of this landscape, and exploring the gesture of each element as it rests on the skin.

Moving Fish ring by Jian Hao

Jian Hao is an architect, independent designer and photographer. He founded the independent design brand Yirifan. He has been studying at the Shanghai Jiao Tong university, as well as in the Southern California School of Architecture, with a master’s degree in architecture. His works were exhibited in his university in Shanghai and the SCI-arc Gallery in LA. He’s also been featured in publications such as suckerPUNCH, Architect and Archello, both at home and abroad.
3D Printed Dress by Sabina Sagadiyeva
Sabina Sagadiyeva graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a BA in fashion design. She also studied in Milan through FIT at the Politecnico di Milano. Her work is influenced by designers Oscar De La Renta, Carolina Herrera and Vera Wang, all of whom she’s had the opportunity to work for.
Art Nouveau Shoe by Benjamin Cann
Benjamin Cann is the founder and director of Eugenio. The company deals with 3D Engineering and Design Solutions and was started in September 2014. Eugenio aims to undertake and develop projects bordering between engineering, design and art.
