The Best You Know How

We don’t know what we don’t know.

So we can only and do only give the best we know how in any situation.

Then, outside of each situation we have dozens of ways to learn from it and change things in future situations.

Tremendous spiritual growth (aka relaxing) happens when we genuinely realize that we can’t change the past, and so it’s pointless to worry about it AND at the same time instead of doing things to try to make up for the past, we use what we’ve learned to uplift future situations.

In other words — Do the best you know how. Then tomorrow, do the best you now know how. Then the day after, do the best you then know how.

Don’t criticize yourself for what happened yesterday. And if you do, send your inner loving grandma to have a nap-time story with your inner critic.
