You need to make money. That’s obvious. Without it you wouldn’t have a business.

However, if all of your effort is tunnel-visioning toward how to make money, and everything you and your business do is for profit, then the energy you’ll put out is that you don’t care about other people, that you only care about yourself and money.

So it’s important to get clear on where you make your money and where you don’t.

And then…protect and expand the areas you DON’T make money. This is an important point.

The more services or products you offer that don’t make money, the more you’re being clearly generous, the more you’re giving back to your community, and the more positive the association others have with you, and the more business you’ll get.
