At 42 Wolfsburg/Berlin we believe that software engineering should be a tool to make the world a more sustainable and connected place. We believe that high-quality education should be free and accessible to everyone. Here, we all come together to learn, collaborate and strive to be our best selves.

We are, above all, a student-centered and value-driven organization, whose aim is to educate through a peer-learning approach the next generation of programmers, thinkers, and innovators who want to make a difference in the world.

But values for us are not empty buzzwords. Rather, we wish to lead by example and inspire our students and team-members to live, practice and embody those values on a day-to-day basis.

We believe that having principles is essential for connecting our values to our actions. Our principles allow us to continuously remain consistent with those values. So as our community continues to grow, it is becoming more and more important for us to make our code of honor as clear and visible as possible.

The following principles draw their inspiration for example from the ethos and culture of The Burning Man Community, The Hacker Ethic and Ray Dalio‘s principles.

Our values are the foundation and driving force of our schools :

Through our deep personal commitment to these values, we aspire to create an environment in which everyone can achieve their full potential.

Let us know your thoughts about our code of honor. How close are they to the principles that you live by daily?
