10 Year Plan
Today I spent quite some time thinking whether I should get a Masters in Computer Science. I looked at degrees at JHU as it is the best university that is close (I probably should also check UM and UMBC for sake of comparison). The degree can be done online or in person or combination of both. The cost comes to about $37,000.
I decided at the moment to continue working hard at:
- CareFirst
- Lead my Tibetan project
- Lead my education project in Kyrgyzstan
My primary job and source of income is CareFirst work; therefore, I need to stay focused on excelling there. I plan on doing the Project Management Professional certificate, which should give me a career bump. My other two jobs (or rather hobbies) should not be at the expense of my primary job. This has not been the case so far and hopefully will not be.
I am really curious if I can become a VP at CareFirst in the near 3–5 years. I am meeting our EVP and I will find out. I want to do something great. I hope CareFirst will give me that chance.
