Once, companies were looking for employees by putting a “now hiring” sign in their window, today they’re looking for them online. While many use LinkedIn for this purpose or post job openings on their website, Larry Kim brings a new perspective to the digital hiring process in his article called “How to Use Facebook Ads to Recruit Top Talent.

Kim says the fastest way — and even more efficient and cheaper way — to add top talent to your team is by reaching a bigger audience on Facebook. And for that reason, companies should make use of Facebook Ads to recruit. He says ads should showcase the company’s culture, highlight its perks and link to the company’s job page. The results can be amazing as Facebook Ads gives you the option to target certain skills, interests, and demographics of your ideal candidate.

Kim’s advice is excellent. What better way to find new employees than engage them at a place where they can always be found? As he mentions on his article, more than a billion people log into Facebook every day. The opportunity to find the perfect match for your company is huge. With all the targeting options available, Facebook Ads could become the new Tinder for companies; a place for companies to find the ideal employee who matches their values, culture and needs.

Recruiting through Facebook Ads will allow businesses to find candidates in a faster and cheaper way. Companies will no longer have to spend thousands of dollars in hiring recruiters. They will be able to lead the process themselves and start an immediate and direct conversation with potential employees. Props to Facebook Ads and Kim’s brilliant idea.
