Importance of Basic HR Tools in India

Indian job market, due to hyperactive globalization activities, generous foreign direct investments and mushrooming startups, is seeing an apparent boom. On the other hand, the country has a large number of jobseekers because of its population size. Now, Human Resource (HR) has an increased responsibility to deal with frequent, amplified and error-less hiring activities because of these above given facts.

Importance of Technology in HR

It’s all about a great HR management which can cope with the hiring challenges. But wait, HR can’t do it alone, technology plays a great responsibility and has lessened the glitches of hiring activities.

HR SaaS products for human resource management are proving to be a huge benefactor to organizations with larger reach. SaaS products are basically applications in a cloud computing environment. The entire HR fraternity is thankful to cloud-based HR applications which they have started using at a large scale.

Need of Basic HR Applications
The initial requirement of a company is to have an Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and then a Career Site. Both are crucial pre-hiring and hiring tools and two basic requirements of HR team in a company for hiring purposes. Without these basic tools in a large company, the situation becomes baffling.
For example, a startup has decided to spread its branches at five more locations within 2 years. For the similar goal, professional and talented employees would help expanding the startup. Is this possible without the use any recruitment tool for creating a candidate’s database, job posting, screening of resumes and interviewing so that the company can hire required workforce? The answer is ‘no’.

To track the internal requisition or handling of recruitment needs, using an ATS is strongly recommended. On the other hand, you can allow candidates directly visit your job website, let them see available position and post their resumes by using a career site. It would help you build a talent pipeline which you can utilize whenever any job opens ups in your organization.
