The Australian government is currently working on the National Blockchain Roadmap that will open new blockchain-based opportunities in various sectors of the national economy. The project has been developed throughout 2019 and will be released at the beginning of 2020. This task is currently under the control of Australia’s Department of Industry, Innovation, and Science that guides a working group focused on project development.

One of the greatest features blockchain-based solutions can offer are transparency and authentication of supply chains. That will be a huge step forward for Australian agriculture, and food and wine manufacturing. ZDnet has recently presented a report originally developed for made to the Select Committee on Financial Technology and Regulatory Technology, where the state institution confirms the exceptional usefulness of blockchain technology implementation to the national economy.

In particular, implementation of the National Blockchain Roadmap will help protect Australian growers product frauds and protect high food quality standards.
