Growth Tech Launching Project for Blockchain-Based Civil Marriage Registration in Brazil

One of the most significant administrative services — civil marriage registration — is reaching the new level of digitalization in Brazil. The process of blockchain-based solution integration has started on 11th November 2019, and now it starts spreading through the country.

The first registered civil marriages using blockchain technology was on Notary Ledger platform, launched by Growth Tech. It’s founder, Hugo Pierre, was a great supporter of the idea and now his plans go towards the integration of their innovative solution within all regions of the country. This will for sure stimulates the growing digitalization of the whole sphere of administrative services.

One of the key advantages of this innovation is that Growth Tech has transferred civil marriage registration to the blockchain without removing the traditional documentation. After the registration, the system created a digital certificate that is accompanied by the physical one within 20 minutes. The physical certificate has the same legal power, but it is now possible to process data without having physical proof of civil marriage.

Growth Tech is already a known expert in blockchain platform development that has a series of successful projects in real estate. They have been working with the largest real estate company in Brazil — MRV, and the result was shortening of the property registration period from four months to four days. This complicated process has been simplified thanks to blockchain, making it possible to organize a deal in just one day. Although the project is currently in the pilot stage, it has already received a lot of positive feedback from the team, said Rio de Janeiro real estate development director Henrique Queiroz.

Going beyond the real estate market, Growth Tech elaborated Notary Ledger that is successfully processing and tracking various notary services online, giving citizens easy access to different administrative operations. They have already successfully registered the first birth certificate in Brazil in June 2019, Notary Ledger rapidly covers all key legal services that usually required a lot of time and efforts.

Notary Ledger uses the Hyperledger Fabric enterprise blockchain and is hosted by IBM Blockchain.

DHL and BMW Test Blockchain In Asia Supply Chain

One of the world logistics leaders, DHL, is currently testing new blockchain-based solutions with BMW — their partners in the Asia Pacific region. A constantly growing amount of shipment data that is processed by BMW in the region became a key reason why they decided to turn to blockchain-based solutions for their data storage.

The process of data collection, management and storage are organized by logistics firms through their own computer systems — an option that has been used by BMW for years. However, now they decided to test a new approach to their supply chain operation in the Asia Pacific region. Sharing data through a blockchain-based platform, BMW and DHL will improve the visibility of BMW parts produced in Malaysia.

Moreover, this will save a lot of time on the verification process, as usually separate proprietary systems accumulating all data is, in fact, a manual reconciliation process that takes a lot of time matching all shipment data. Together with that, it is necessary to take into account discrepancy, that requires getting deeper into the data, will also take a lot of time and efforts.

All these issues have been addressed in the blockchain proof of concept (PoC) that presented a supply chain blockchain-based platform that will share data among participants. Stakeholders will be able to access only the data they need. The platform will also provide shipment tracking service, starting from order placement and to final parts delivery. Thus, BMW dealers will be able to efficiently manage their delivery.

The best thing about the platform is reducing manual reporting and documentary processing, resolving issues much faster and giving access to the final data to all involved stakeholders in real-time.

Blockchain-based Solution for the Medical Cannabis Industry

I know, that sounds unexpected, but it is true: blockchain technology and AI are about to change the whole industry of medical cannabis supply: Global Cannabis Applications Corporation (GCAC) has presented Cannabis 3.0 and explained how it will impact the development of the industry.

The evolution of the highly debatable industry of medical cannabis referred to as Cannabis 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0, has documented road map towards real consumerism. The most outstanding achievements have been made in the sphere of digitalization of the process, including machine learning algorithms, blockchain, and other regulatory services. All that in common resulted in a perfectly optimized process of cannabis production, transportation and purchase using blockchain.

The blockchain-based platform that will collect all data about the place of production, transportation tracking, product quality, connecting the customer directly with the producer. All data will be available online, getting this industry to the new level, according to Brad Moore

CEO & Director at Global Cannabis Applications Corp. Thus, it will be possible for people with certain disabilities to receive required medical treatment from reliable producers.
