The 4EVERLAND Dedicated Gateway enables unparalleled access speeds through 4EVERLAND’s edge cache locations worldwide, and with no rate limit on request content. You can now create your own unique gateway dedicated to your project. In this initial release, you can also bind your own domain and restrict your view to only display content that you have pinned. These features were previously not available when you accessed IPFS through a public gateway.
How to enable the dedicated gateway
- Find the dedicated gateway on the Gateway page and click on ‘Generate’.
2. Provide a name for your dedicated gateway.
3. Choose whether your gateway is open or restricted.
Currently, the free version of the dedicated gateway allows users to create up to three dedicated gateways and keep one as RESTRICTED.
Open or Restricted
The Open Gateway will be made available to any content on IPFS, even if it is not pinned to your account. This means that anyone with the link can access the content provided by the gateway.
Restricted gateways will only provide access to content that is pinned to your account.
How I use my gateway
Here is an example of content through our public gateway:

And here’s an example of a dedicated gateway if I named it ‘dedicated’:

It can be found that you only need to get the CID of the file you want to view and add it to your gateway URL to view the content through your gateway, as follows.
https://<Your Gateway Subdomain>.4everland.link/ipfs/<Your CID>
Adding a Custom Domain
4EVERlAND allows you to create custom domains for dedicated gateways.
Simply click on the ‘Domain’ button to the right of the gateway page.
Then click ‘Add’. You will need to have the domain you want to use. When you enter the domain, you will be prompted to enter DNS information via the registrar.
Billing and future iterations
Currently, in order to prevent malicious abuse, users access to the dedicated gateway need to maintain an account balance of more than $100 (Any assets you deposit can be withdrawn at any time). Also, each registered user is entitled to 100GB per month of free data. If exceeded, the user has to purchase data resources or pre-deposit. Please refer to the pricing on the website for the specific price list.
