The 4EVERLAND Bi-Weekly Report(Jan 30, 2023 — Feb 12, 2023)
Hello 4evers,
Welcome to the new 4EVERLAND bi-weekly newsletter!
Good news, good news! Starting this week, 4EVERLAND will be experimenting with this new layout of bi-weekly to better communicate with you guys and hopefully give all the community members a better understanding of what 4EVERLAND is building.
Without further ado, let’s get started with all the developments we have been working on since the last fortnightly update:
What we have completed:
As a continuation of our work from the last two weeks, we have already finalized some of the work and are happy to share with you.
4EVERLAND Collaboration
In the last week, we completed the launch of the 4EVERLAND collaboration feature. 4EVERLAND now allows users to manage collaboration members, set up collaboration accounts, and review update logs from the Collaboration option in the Dashboard. Please stay tuned for more tutorial information as we update it.
Github Unbundle/Replacement
4EVERLAND now supports the changes to the Github bundle. After the account changes, the GitHub bundle, projects deployed from the original Github will only be supported for access. If you need to change your Github account, please do a backup of your project and redeployment in advance.
Newcomer Guide Updated
To provide newcomers with a better and quicker understanding of how to use 4EVERLAND, we have updated our newcomer guide and added instructions.
And, we have some ongoing work on our list,
We’re a work in progress:
4EVERLAND is making methodical progress on milestones, remember our goal is to help users make a smooth leap from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0 and become the infrastructure for millions of Web 3.0 developers and applications!
Storage Nodes Program
4EVERLAND storage (a client containing Cluster Service and IPFS nodes) is compatible with the IPFS protocol and automatically forms a cluster of nodes (Swarm) as a result of the Smart Contract modules’ node auction. Every node follows the same peer-to-peer network protocol. These nodes will automatically form a Swarm network which can be read in the node auction contract and then synchronize data with each other.
We would like our 4EVER nodes to be everywhere, forming a ubiquitous network, believe me, it’s a big task and we’re working on it!
IPNS Hosting
With 4EVERLAND Hosting’s support for CID deployments, we have found that some users also have a need for IPNS deployments. As you might imagine, 4EVERLAND is working on it.
IPFS Node Optimisation
As 4EVERLAND grows and user usage increases, our demands on the 4EVERLAND nodes continue to grow. 4EVERLAND’s work on optimising the nodes continues.
What else?
- IPFS pinning service
