FIVE THINGS THAT MADE ME HAPPY TODAY:
1. Church this morning. Always. Especially the postlude, an African song that we sing from time to time, sung by Tshilidzi Ndou in his native tongue. Wow.
2.@Kim Loehr Soto has invaded the kitchen and is flashing her signal at me. About 15 minutes so far.
3. My church’s semi-annual parish meeting this afternoon. First Unitarian Church of Dallas is a big church and I expect it to be run responsibly (which the board and staff do), I am always heartened to find out what’s happening above and beyond the call of duty. A survey that was completed this spring shows the congregation is wanting to get even more engaged in community work — what drew me to UU in the first place.
4. I found a zip lock bag filled with jigsaw puzzle pieces and put it together today. It’s much harder with no picture!
5. I ordered a little runner rug for my studio and unwrapped it today from the shipping wrapper. It is really really really red. Who wouldn’t be happy walking into that room??
You? I’d love to hear what made you happy today.
Keep going.
