FIVE THINGS THAT MADE ME HAPPY TODAY:
1. A friend from a previous neighborhood texted to say her plums were ready to harvest. So a friend and I made it over there this morning. Got a few dozen but most are still too green. So we will be watching this week. The last two or three years they’ve been stolen before we could harvest them. Crossing my fingers. They’re really good and tart!
2. Across the street from the plum tree, next to Eric Loehr’s former house lives Patty Sullivan! Whoopee. She came out to get her paper before my friend and I left the plum tree. We kept our distance but did a little happy dance at seeing one another. I did love that neighborhood.
3. Church. Always. Even on line.
4. Soto family trip this afternoon was to Chandor Gardens in Weatherford. See some photos below. It’s just over an hour’s drive from the house. Highly recommend. No crowds.
5 Quite an afternoon of wildlife-spotting for Max: A roadrunner, three baby armadillos, and an unconfirmed deer.
I’d love to hear what made you happy today. There is beauty and happiness in this chaotic world, even today.
