FIVE THINGS THAT MADE ME HAPPY TODAY:

1. Really chilly weather and a spectacular cold front that blew in this morning. Two cozy cats never far away all day.

2. A really great home cooked meal at the Soto house tonight. Sirloin shish kebab, orzo, fresh corn, red pepper, red onion, tomatoes. Really great combo. We’ll do it again.

3. Settled on our family trip on Sunday. We found some interesting history about Gainesville and are going to drive up to see what we can see. Suggested by Max Soto after reading about it for his school project.

4. A fair amount of organizing in my studio room — including posting some items on facebook marketplace and pulling some clip art for a project inspired by last week’s collages.

5. At the grocery, an enormous display of pumpkins of every size and shape. One of the big white “ghost” pumpkins had rolled off the pyramid. Some small animal had opened up a human-bite size chunk out of the side. The orange flesh, the white skin, and a human-bite look-alike made me giggle that some small animal had tackled an enormous pumpkin.

And you? I’d love to hear what made you happy today.

Keep going.
