5 things that made me happy today:

1. A very early visit to Michael’s (they open at 7 during holiday weeks) where I was able to rearrange their letter display. It’s actually one of my favorite guerilla acts.

2. Only about an hour later, I was able to offer all my much used moving boxes to a friend who’s moving FAST and will return them to our collective moving box lending library.

3. Ruby’s birthday party had so many highs and lows but ended well. Six kids plus

and me — driving electric go karts on a closed track. About 10x more fun than I thought.

4. I came in dead last for four races but I was older than anyone else in the building by a good 20 years. Go, Grandma!

5. One of the “aunties,”

Kim Loehr Soto

‘s girlfriends from college, is coming to be with us on the anniversary of Kim’s death. Their long-lasting friendship is a blessing to our family.

And you? What made you happy today? I love to hear about it.

Keep going.
