FIVE THINGS THAT MADE ME HAPPY TODAY:
1. Family dinner night. The kids and I cook dinner for all of us and tonight it was a standard — pasta with sauce and all the fixings. It’s another go-to meal that every adult needs to have in their head (and in their pantry) and fix, faultlessly, at a moment’s notice. With plenty of room for improv because you’re out of x, or because you have extra y.
2. Tomorrow’s family outing is to Paris. Texas, that is. Ruby did some research to find some points of interest. I’ll be adding to my Grandma MarySue’s Corona Tour for those who are following and will need an update.
3. Got another shipment of art supplies (mat board, etc) from Matboard&More. They have beautiful products and their packing/shipping is just exquisite!
4. A beautiful, mild, sunny day. When I moved to Texas, the weather was like today for several weeks for most of October 1969. I thought I had died and gone to heaven.
5. Planning on finishing up my Away binge. I’d give it a B but it’s exactly the right level of brain activity for tonight.
And you? I’d love to hear what made you happy today.
Keep going.
