Digital Twin Applications White Paper by China Electronics Standardization Institute

In November, the Digital Twin Applications White Paper, released by China Electronics Standardization Institute affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, expounded on the definitions and characteristics of digital twins and illustrated the trending topics, applications, and standards for digital twins in a panoramic perspective for the first time.

51WORLD participated in the compilation of the Overview of Digital Twin Development and Application, offering typical cases in fields of smart cities, transportation, and buildings, and connecting digital twin technologies with industrial development.

Digital Twin Cities White Paper 2020

Digital Twin Cities White Paper 2020, led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology affiliated to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, conducted in-depth research on the construction of digital twin cities, aiming to integrate detailed plans and promote the implementation of digital twin cities for local governments and related industries.

Based on the urgent and real demands for building digital twin cities in various places, the report was the first to introduce the best domestic and foreign companies in terms of key technologies, core platforms and application scenarios, as well as the first to generalize the construction plans for digital twins. It was also the first research report providing both theoretical and practical guidelines in the industry.

51WORLD has participated in compiling the 2019 and 2020 versions of the white paper, mainly in the writing of system architecture, common key capabilities, and typical application cases.

Blue Book of China’s Autonomous Driving Simulation and Testing 2020

Blue Book of China’s Autonomous Driving Simulation and Testing 2020 was the first comprehensive tool book introducing the development of China’s autonomous driving simulation and testing. It aimed to provide detailed and timely technical reference for managers and researchers engaged in the field.

The 2020 version, accomplished by more than 10 well-known testing institutes, manufacturers, and universities in intelligent connected vehicles, illustrated in detail the development status, testing systems, key technologies, industry standards, applications, platforms, and leading institutes in the field, and anticipated the challenges and opportunities faced by autonomous driving simulation and testing. It was an inclusive blue book with detailed technical guidance and industrial applications.

The book has been printed by the Publishing House of Electronics Industry and is expected to be released on December 9, 2020.

The Designing Standards for Smart Park

51WORLD participated in the compilation of Smart Park Designing Standards jointly established by the China Academy of Building Research and Huawei, the first standards of China’s housing industry that integrated new information and communication technologies.

The Working Group of BIM/CIM Standards of SAC/TC426 and The Working Group of Smart Park Construction Standards

As a member of SMCSTD, the SAC/TC426 is a technical standards organization guided by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development. It has 8 working groups in fields like BIM/CIM, Smart Park, and Urban Management.

The BIM/CIM Standards Working Group is a technical organization engaged in the research and formulation of standards for BIM/CIM. It deals with the formulation and promotion of standards for the field, participates in related research, keeps up with international standardization, and tracks the application of pilot projects.

The Working Group of Smart Park Construction Standards is committed to addressing the deficiencies of existing standards. It deals with the formulation and promotion of standards for designing, constructing, developing, and operating smart parks, participates in related research, and tracks the application of pilot projects.

At present, 51WORLD is actively involved in the related work of these working groups.

The smart city working group of NISSTC

In November, the “Urban Digital Twin Standardization Seminar” hosted by the China Electronics Standardization Institute and The smart city working group of NISSTC was held in Beijing. On the seminar, 51WORLD shared its thinking on the practices and standardization of urban digital twins.

Next, under the guidance of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, 51WORLD will work with other members of the working group to assist in formulating and promoting digital twin standards in terms of the application scenarios and actual requirements.

Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology Roadmap 2.0

Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology Roadmap 2.0 was unveiled during the 2020 World Intelligent Connected Vehicles Conference, which set out the development route, vision, and strategic goals for ICVs in the next 15 years.

The key technology architecture of intelligent connected vehicles

51WORLD participated in the compilation of “Testing and Evaluating Technology” in the section of “Key Technologies of Basic Support”.

A Member of Global TD — LTE Initiative

51WORLD officially joined the Global TD — LTE Initiative (GTI ), an international organization initiated by the world’s five major communication operators. It aims to promote the development of TD-LTE technology on a global scale and is also an open platform for global operators to commercialize TD-LTE technology.

The founding members include:

China Mobile in China, Bharti Airtel in India, Sprint (Clearwire) in the US, SoftBank Mobile in Japan, and Vodafone in the UK.

51WORLD took the lead in the topic of “Digital twin technology for smart city, factory, medical, etc.” Qualcomm, China Mobile, and ZTE were also selected for this topic.

In the future, 51WORLD will continue to actively participate in formulating the standards for digital twin-related technologies, and improve the AES platform and WDP ecology, contributing to the standardization, popularization, and development of digital twin technology.
