Last week I stumbled upon a great coffee shop in the Inner Sunset, and had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners, Dawn, while I was in there. Since I enjoyed the cool space and killer coffee I thought I’d feature Hollow as my next small business for 52 Pick Up. So, here we are!
Dawn used to walk her dog past what is now Hollow all the time, and always thought it was a charming space and would make a great little hidden gem of a business. While Dawn and co-owner William were engaged and planning their wedding, it came up for rent, and they decided to take it on. Despite having no experience in the industry, they opened the cafe and worked out the details over time, learning as they went. I admire their leap of faith! Now locals enjoy more then just coffee — Hollow offers artisan chocolates, cookies, croissants, empanadas, even homemade marshmallows.

There are easier ways to make money, but we believe that it’s important to give back to the community and do what you can to make the world a better place. It is, in effect, our love letter to the Inner Sunset, to be shared with the world.
Hours of operation: Weekdays 8:00 to 6pm | Weekends 9:00–6pm
