I live in the San Francisco Bay Area so you had to know I was going to include a burrito shop in the mix at some point, right? I also lived in Los Angeles for eight years so I’ve had my share of burritos, and I know a good one when I see one. If you’re driving through Marin County between the Mill Valley and Strawberry area, be sure to stop by Lucinda’s Mexican food take out restaurant. Conveniently located just off the 101 freeway, they offer a small but tasty menu — there’s no need for a hundred different items when you’re looking for one good burrito that’s done right. Lucinda seats three people comfortably, four if you want to get cozy. The prices are very reasonable, and the staff is really nice and friendly.

Lucinda’s is tucked away between a dry cleaning shop and a Porsche dealership. You can almost feel the hammer of big business about to push this little shop out of the picture as real-estate prices continue to climb in the Bay Area. I get the sense people in the community really like having this little place nearby. If you stop by during lunch or on the weekend, the line is out the door. Well, truthfully, it only takes 4 people in line to be out the door, but you get the idea.

If you find yourself in the area, stop by and pick up this week’s drawing and grab an awesome burrito while you’re at. Double win! ☺
