AVOID disposable cutlery. CARRY your own.
1. PROBLEM
In Weddings, Parties, Conferences, Small Food Stalls, there is disposable cutlery everywhere! And that pollutes the environment, ends up in landfills, and eventully even in marine animals. It also harms us each time we have heated food in plastic.
2. SOLUTION
Carry your own cutlery!
1. MAKE YOUR OWN FREE CUTLERY SET
- Take a spoon, fork and knife from one of your home or air travels (they mostly don’t recycle it)
- (Optional) Take an old napkin/cut your old t-shirt into a napkin.
- (Optional) If you’re a girl, use one of your rubberbands to wrap the napkin onto the cutlery set and tie them together. If you’re a guy, ask your girlfriend/mum/sister/ or any friend who is a girl for a rubberband. You can also pick up one on the street, wash it and use it. (rubberbands are non-bio degradable and can harm little birdies scrouging for food/twigs or cats/dogs who might bite and eat them. You are actually saving the environment by picking them off the street)
2. BUY THE BASICS
You can buy a Spork. The cloth used to wrap it can be used as a hanky!
3. BUY A COMPLETE BIODEGRADABLE SET
4. FIN
In summary, take your own cutlery everywhere and avoid disposable ones.
