Sponsoring the Portland chapter of the free monthly breakfast series CreativeMornings is an ongoing highlight for 52 Limited. We help put doughnuts and coffee on the table, sure, but all the hard work is taken care of by a dedicated bunch (thank you Tsilli & co.) and the speakers themselves bring unique content and perspective to each talk.

May’s theme is ROBOT! Beep bop boop.

This month’s theme is ROBOT and Gary Hirsch is the featured speaker. Gary is the co-founder of On Your Feet, a consultancy that uses improv to help organizations generate new ideas, collaborate, engage audiences and walk their talk — all while having a ridiculously good time. Gary and the OYF team have designed customized, improv training, keynotes and workshops for clients such Nike, Intel, Disney, Apple, Daimler, and The British Ministry of Defense. Gary is also a visual artist and the creator of Botjoy, a five-year visual experiment that uses over 30,000 large and small hand-painted robots to explore collaboration, inspiration and art.

Unfortunately, the tickets are already waitlisted. So why promote? Because June, July and every month hereafter promises to be just as amazing and because Gary’s turn at the podium will be captured on video and in photographs by the lovely volunteers at CreativeMornings Portland. From ongoing engagements at the Ziba auditorium to one-offs in the soon-to-be-revived Redd on Salmon Street, the lecture series hops around town each month. CreativeMornings got its start in New York City in 2008. Tina Roth Eisenberg created the free breakfast lecture series in response to her desire for ongoing interaction in her creative community. There are now 114 chapters in cities around the world.
