San Francisco: Tech Shangri-La
The fight for top technology talent is turning San Francisco on its head (in more ways than one).
While some companies struggle to lure blue-collar workers to the city, the tech giants are locked in an arms race of salaries and perks — pushing the boundaries of work culture and compensation in a bid to land the best talent.
Consider Michael Sayman. Shortly after creating one of the most popular mobile games in the App Store, Facebook flew him from his Florida home to Silicon Valley to intern for the summer. The catch? He’s only 17 years old. Facebook claims this is business as usual — recruiting the best of the best — but increasingly recruiting efforts stretch into the high school years at these companies.
For our part, we continue to see an astonishing need for tech and creative talent in the Bay Area.
These are exciting times in San Francisco’s tech scene. Want to play a part? Get in touch.
