Over the past several years, James Corden has become the King of marrying music and comedy. While he’s best known for Carpool Karaoke, which has included guests like Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, and Adele, his resume includes Riff-Offs, impromptu Coldplay cameos, and even a brief stint with the Backstreet Boys. Given Corden’s musical prowess and impeccable comedic timing, he was a natural choice to host the 59th GRAMMYs.

What can you expect when Corden takes the reins of Music’s Biggest Night? Well, as he so aptly reminds us in the videos below, music’s greatest power is it makes us believe — and makes sitting in traffic just a bit less unbearable.

(The 59th GRAMMY Awards will take place Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, live from Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast on the CBS Television Network from 8–11:30 pm ET/5–8:30 pm PT. Follow Recording Academy/GRAMMYs on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and use #GRAMMYs to join the conversation.)
