Frank Robinson

Today we reflect and remember the Late Frank Robinson. One of the toughest, bravest, and best to have ever played.

  • Frank played from 1956–1976 amassing 586 Home runs and 1,812 RBI’s to go along with 2,943 career hits.
  • Robinson was the first and remains the only player to win the MVP award in both leagues. He also won the triple crown in his MVP season of 1966.
  • On April 8th 1975 Frank Robinson became the fist African-American to manage a major league game. He also hit a home run in that game as a player. In 1989 He was named AL Manager of the Year for the Orioles.

Frank Robinson was 83 years old.

Bob Stoops

The legendary former Oklahoma coach will be back on the sideline.

  • Robert will be the GM and head coach for the Dallas franchise in the XFL.
  • Stoops coached at OU from 1999–2016 going 190–48
  • Oklahoma won 10 Big12 Championships and a BCS National Championship in 2000 under “Big game Bob”.

Stoops is a huge get for the XFL. Here was the reaction from the league’s founder when he heard Bob Stoops signed.

NBA Winners/Losers

The NBA trade deadline has come and gone. The Pelicans didn’t trade Anthony Davis but there was plenty of other action.
