This is Why Diets Never Work

It has nothing to do with will power. (10X100: Day Five)

Here’s a pattern I bet you can identify with.

I go on a diet. I count — something. Calories, usually, but it might be carbs, fat grams, whatever. I count something, trying to hit some number that someone who doesn’t know me told me I should hit.



Oh, shit. Making my biggest, most secret, most insane goal public. I used to weigh 368 pounds. I'm going to enter an Ironman race when I'm as old as my mother was when she died.
