When You Write a Clickbait Title, Your Entire Reputation Is on the Line

Read that headline again.

It doesn’t say: “Don’t write clickbait.”

Like scorned lovers, many platforms are trying to crack down on clickbait titles. It won’t work. It can’t work. Humans are wired to click headlines that grab our attention. Here’s the trick, though: fooling people with tempting titles backed by crummy content only works once.

But what if you wrote good headlines with good content?

Better yet, what if you wrote good headlines with great content?

That’s the game.
