The process of knowing exactly who to hire before hiring, instead of just copying from other’s JD

Group Project is lateral thinking, which gives us a chance to collaborate in writing Job Description (JD).

Collaborating helps us be attached to our team’s members, which goes a long way in raising motivation levels and dignifying role of each one in team.

Product Manager

As usual, we offer the Product Manager to write JD. He is the one coming up with having this position in our team. He gives requirements to the team’s members so that they could have done with them, so he understands deeply their roles and jobs. Suffice to say, his time as this role is a rich seam for him to mine.

No one but the project manager is the person who comes within a whisker of understanding all tasks. That why he is chosen at the beginning.

Team Lead

However, if you need someone to list the tasks of the roles, think of the person who is in charge of them, he (or she) is just the job.

At 7-Lab, those are team leads. They work (support and give advice) directly with people we are seeking to join the team. Therefore, giving them a chance to input and write JD is a good idea.

JD completed by Product Manager and Team Leads seems to be acceptable for us. Whereas considering all the spectacular JDs he has ever read, the Head of Department sees the one with just enough information is not good enough.

Employer Banding Associate (Me)

As a result of this, he asked me to join in developing the JD. Working as an administrator of the team and manager’s assistant, I understand Head of Department has so many important projects to complete. Therefore, he doesn’t need to keep a firm hand on the tasks others can do as well as him.

Furthermore, I know he is looking for a better one that expresses the core value. Transparently, it will make job seekers see the sense.

It stands to reason, he trusts me. Moreover, the more tasks he adds, the more lessons and experiences I have. Thus, I will appreciate it evermore. And the best thing I could do is restructure the JD rationally.

These are ideas orientating the JD towards our expectation.

Reading the cool JD recommended, a thought flashed through my mind, what’ll happen if their jobs are converted into passions (the thing our members are happy to work with)?

As bold as brass, I believe that it’ll be a plus to show them some cool things my team have done. When they make sense of valuable results we have got, they’ll realize that we work with passion and hope to be a part of our team to create the wonders.

Moreover

Collecting information to introduce our cool results is a great chance so that we can review the results which we are very proud of. It is an effective way to transfer our works into motivations.

We are always happy and willing to make every effort to do anything like these. That helps us relentlessly focus on our work.

And one more thing I’ve got

There are some values that we really need when hiring. As far as we’re concerned, they are potential and attitude which are even more important than diploma or experiences you have without impressive results.

It used to confuse me with finding the reason why my boss suggests me to join in writing JD while I nearly know nothing about their specialist knowledge. However, I do really see where he is coming from.

Head of Department

Not only did he join the result of JD but also supply inputs so that I can complete it as well as possible. And there are some remarkable things I’ve learned from him, which expects JD should:

Bespeak our culture and connection

We always need someone who is willing to be a part of us on a long journey. Working in a team with a great culture and connection is a strong point.

Maybe you didn’t realize yet, but the table is turning. We have been talking about stand out CVs, don’t you think writing a compelling JD is as important? We don’t have a big name and a big number (yet), but we do have culture and challenging missions. Let make sure our potential team members feel the heat of our team reading the JDs — Trung Luong, Head of Tech

It is absolutely great if the job seekers recognize that they’ll integrate the team that does them the world of good.

Understand the importance of maintaining a strong culture and good working environment between team’s members as well as spread them over people outside, we build the blog to share our profundities, the reverence for other members, and many things we have done together which are engraved on our minds.

Be short enough to keep it interesting

Surely, it should contain basis parts as Roles and Responsibilities, Qualifications and some skills, Remuneration package and benefits.

Nevertheless, just chose some important things to fill in the JD. Think deeply to find out the valuable information transferred to our applicants.

It only takes the manager some minutes to adjust the JD, but it really makes sense. For all intents and purposes, the JD is completed.

As far as I am aware

1. The great JD is made from many good factors that create it. Remember to put effort into your works and you will receive valuable things.

2. Writing JD or complete any projects, let’s bust a gut to do them.

3. It’s easier for us to do anything in a group. A person couldn’t be perfect in every way. So, working in a group is a chance so that we can do the things which each of us could do the best.

4. The more chance of working with a team, the better understanding we get from each other.

All of these things have proved how we love our jobs. Join us if you really want to work with passion.

We are looking for our new team’s members:
