Thanks to being selected for the Microsoft for Startups program, 7Seconds takes advantage of the global software giant’s cutting-edge products.

“Microsoft extends grants to a selection of most deserving startups, and 7Seconds is glad to be among the recipients,” comments Alexey Chalenko, CEO of 7Seconds. “The size of grants ranges from $120,000 to $400,000, and we received $400,000.”

“We are using the grant to purchase Microsoft products, such as Azure and Microsoft’s studios for software development and machine learning,” he adds.

“It works both ways,” he concludes. “If a startup grows big, it will be using more Microsoft products.”

Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service intended for creating, testing, deploying and managing applications through a global network of data centers managed by Microsoft.

Microsoft Azure provides software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS). It also supportsa variety of programming languages, frameworks and tools, including software and systems from Microsoft and third parties.

Microsoft for Startups program aims to provide access to technology, go-to-market and community benefits that helps startups grow their customer and revenue base, the company says.

For that purpose, Microsoft says it will commit $500 million over 2017 and 2018 to offer joint sales engagements with startups, as well as access to technology and new community spaces, collaboration across local and global ecosystems.

“Startups are an indisputable innovation engine, and Microsoft is partnering with founders and investors to help propel their growth,” the company says.
