Classroom Contract

In our first class period of every term, we build a list of classroom norms to ensure a supportive, caring, and intellectually engaging learning environment. This year, students worked in small groups to brainstorm individual and collective actions that would support each category of classroom conduct.

After small group brainstorming, we reconvened as a class to create a class contract. Once the content was defined, groups reconvened to create visual displays of each section of the contract for the classroom.
