Members of our initial token sale in July had the opportunity to take a sneak peak at D-PARC, our deep space survival game. Since the end of August, we have been putting an emphasis on developing the game play and articulating our roadmap for the integration of Smart Game Objects.

The excitement from the team keeps growing as we explore the creation of The Experience Age. It’s amazing to be in a position to take advantage of the new technologies growing from the blockchain. We are driving the innovations of the future while doing what we do best - telling compelling stories through video games.

Here are a few sneak peaks of an idea we are playing with: The cryostasis chamber. Our Art Director, Mark, has been having a good time creating the interiors to the D-PARC class Galactic Cruiser, n-Satoshi.

“Which one is Jennifer Lawrence in?”

Initially, it was imagined to either be a simple series of long hallways, or a single hallway with pods that moved around like the racks at a dry cleaners. Though that is an effective way to store and access frozen people (aka: meat popsicles), the consideration is being made for how it would play. Even if this doesn’t make the final cut for gameplay, we enjoy sharing part of the creative process with you.

Cold in Cryo

Mark is an expert environmental artist, and in the example to the left he is experimenting with different temperatures. In this image there is a little bit of frost in the air as well as some ice forming on the floor. In game, the state will depend on the status of life support aboard ship, or if there has been a recent breech to space.

Is the cryopod on the left labeled Chris Pratt?

Our final example above shows the cryopod open on the left, and the frost clearing up as the emergency lighting system comes on.

Of all the things that excite us about this business of marrying video games to the blockchain, what we really love is finding other people who share our vision and enthusiasm. If you’re in resonance with what we do please join in the discussion!
