Welcome to the new studio!

On 6th July we said farewell to our three-roomed office in Canon Street and hot-footed it around the corner (literally) to 25 Rodney Street, our fantastic new studio!

After 6 great years of growth in Canon Street, and with 13 staff stuffed into an office with the square footage for 8, we were ready for a change and a new place to call home.

Location, Location, Location

Hunting for decent office space in Edinburgh that isn’t dark, expensive and formerly the scene of a murder, is tough. We looked at a lot of average office spaces which lacked character, light, and (in the words of Kirsty and Phil) location, location, location. Creativity absolutely benefits from environment and weren’t keen to compromise.

Luckily, we often walk to meetings that are close-by, and on one chilly December stomp back to the old place we passed DM Hall hanging a ‘To Let’ sign outside the front of our new building. A quick call later and we were back to view a large, airy old yoga studio complete with mustard yellow walls and a giant Buddha mural. Our search was over!

Securing the new space involved a long wrangle with the council over permissions and addressing, our entry date jumped from January to March to May, and we finally picked up the keys at the start of June.

The perfect space

The new office is open plan and flooded with light thanks to 26 windows and a double-height ceiling, and our team now sit in pods with designers and developers working collaboratively beside each other.

In addition to lots of desk space we have a private reception area with bike storage, a boardroom for smaller meetings, break-out spaces, a kitchen-diner (did someone say dishwasher?!), and a custom-built auditorium.

As soon as we’d seen inside we drew up plans to add a large space for events, making the most of the high ceilings with tiered seating and a big TV! The great team at JC Lindsay gamely stepped up to our crazy four-week build-move plan and managed to finish up and clear-out with a day to spare!

The auditorium is a large, flexible space designed to host workshops, events and training, and it will also be available for hire.

We look forward to welcoming you!

We’re settled in and delighted with the creative new environment we’ve created to fit our ambitious, exciting agency. We look forward to welcoming you through the door!

Our new address is Primate, 25 Rodney Street, Edinburgh, EH7 4EL.
