PlayTable will soon be shipping out a final version of the very first blockchain-enabled tabletop gaming console ever to hit the market. Following the closed beta that was tested by the company, the team behind this console is now preparing for its public release, where a much larger audience will gain access to this unique experience of using NFT toys to link directly to the games and the use of EHrT tokens in a variety of situations in the console ecosystem.
As the project continues to grow, so does the team. This brings us to welcoming the new software director that will be leading the team behind the development of the product operating system, David Chiu.
A Welcome To David Chiu, Software Director At 8Hours Foundation
David Chiu has worked with a number of well-established companies and has been involved in many projects where he helped see the process of taking a concept and turning it into reality be carried out. He has more than a decade of experience and, as the new software director, David will be helping this project become a reality and see the final parts of the development stage which will enable the 8Hours wallet to seamlessly integrate into the PlayTable software.
David’s Past Experience
David started his career in the technology industry early in the 2000s, when he entered as the VP of Technology Development at Soyodo Inc in Los Angeles, California. At this company, David was placed in a managerial position, where he oversaw operations by those in the business development and technology departments. David was able to assist with the expansion of the company during his time as the VP of Technology Development. While only one store existed upon his employment, when David left, there was a total of 10 stores.
David’s involvement in the uSensAR system is another critical factor related to his experience that would be highly beneficial for us and the 8Hours Foundation ecosystem. This system is already used on millions of Android devices, taking advantage of the hardware in order to generate a unique, breathtaking AR experience.
At uSens, David has been serving as the VP of Engineering since November 2015. His roles include leading a team of global experts that assist with machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision systems. The team is also responsible for gesture controls and for ensuring the uSensAR application is able to detect objects in the real world, and use machine learning to place simulated objects inside an environment through the user’s mobile device.
David is not only highly experienced, but he holds multiple certifications that make him the perfect software director at 8Hours Foundation to lead and grow the team. Because he was very involved with the user experience on the mobile device, he will be able to integrate the wallet app and tokens usage seamlessly together in our ecosystem.
He has attended classes and obtained various degrees at top universities throughout the world, giving him an international presence.
David currently holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, which he obtained after he completed a program at the University of Houston. In addition to his Ph.D., David also has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, which was issued to him after he successfully completed the appropriate subjects at Sichuan University. He also holds an M.S.EE in EE, issued to him by the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
The Skillset David Is Bringing To The Table
David is bringing several skills to our project, which will ultimately ensure the ecosystem can grow and provide more impressive features than what has been noted thus far. David is highly skilled in different areas including blockchain technology, ranging from programming all the way to being an excellent leader when placed in a managerial position.
The programming skills that David holds include:
David is also highly experienced in working with a variety of development environments and technologies, including:
- Embedded software
As the new software director, David will bring his skills — both as an excellent leader and as a highly experienced developer — to the team. When these skills are added to the current team, already consisting of several talented individuals, we hope that the platform will grow and become even more of a successful ecosystem as the first blockchain-enabled tabletop gaming console to the market.
The fact that David has previously helped many projects go from a mere concept all the way to reality, offered to consumers all over the world, is what will help the project and the ecosystem as a whole really take flight.
As part of the 8Hours Foundation expansion and the process of getting ready for the product release, the company is welcoming David Chiu as its software director. With significant experience in both software and blockchain industries, David will be bringing tremendous value to the company by leading teams that focus on integrating blockchain technology seamlessly within the ecosystem and really implement the usage of the Non-Fungible Tokens on a whole new level.
We are so excited to see what the future holds for us, and we cannot wait to share more updates with everyone.
