A little over 24 hours ago, we completed the 8Pay IDO on BSCPad. Congratulations to everyone who participated and claimed a stake in the 8Pay ecosystem and a warm welcome to community members who have just joined us.

In this article, we’d like to recap the steps we’ve taken since completing the 8Pay IDO and to dispel some misconceptions that have arisen. We’re committed to maintaining full transparency with the 8Pay community about the progress we’re making and the efforts we’re taking to create a safe environment for trading the 8PAY token.

Locked Liquidity and Token Metrics

We can confirm that liquidity has been locked for the 8PAY pools operating on PancakeSwap and Uniswap. Proof of locked liquidity on the former DEX can be viewed here, while the Uniswap lock is accessible here. By locking liquidity for six months initially, you can trade 8PAY in confidence with deep liquidity and guaranteed entry and exit at any time.

For the BEP20 and ERC20 versions of the 8PAY token, the largest holders can be viewed on BscScan and Etherscan respectively. As these blockchain explorers show, the top holders of 8PAY correspond with the pooled liquidity that’s locked on PancakeSwap and Uniswap. These addresses do not belong to whales who have the ability to sell their stack at any time: as noted above, these tokens are pooled on the leading BSC and Ethereum DEXs and are fixed in place for the next six months.

Staying Safe When Interacting With 8Pay

It’s been drawn to our attention that there are a number of fake Telegram groups out there masquerading as 8Pay channels and trying to dupe holders out of their tokens. Stick to our official 8Pay channel and announcement channel only and do not let anyone add you to groups purporting to be 8Pay, or to DM you regarding 8PAY token “deals”. These will be from scammers and, should you interact with them, you risk losing your precious 8PAY tokens.

Unfortunately, scammers are part of the crypto landscape, but while we can’t eliminate them, we can take steps to avoid them. While we will do our utmost to steer the 8Pay community away from scam groups and fake tokens, we cannot be held liable for the actions of third parties. Exercise your common sense, remain vigilant, and remember: if an offer seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Popular crypto projects can become a victim of their own success, coaxing chancers and scammers out of the woodwork to try their luck at deceiving users. In the last 24 hours, we’ve even experienced DDoS and hacking attempts on the 8Pay website and app. We’re pleased to report that we’re still standing, though, and all systems are intact.

Finally, remember that the only place where you can trade 8PAY is on the Uniswap and PancakeSwap pools we’ve established. Stick to these links and you can’t go wrong.

Stay tuned for news on 8PAY staking, which will follow our imminent mainnet launch, and details on the official audit being conducted. The 8PAY token has already been audited of course, but next up we’ll be undergoing an extensive audit of the entire 8Pay protocol. Remember, all of the 8Pay code is open source and can be inspected and audited by any party who wishes to do so.

Thank you for all your support so far and remember to follow our channels for the latest 8Pay news and project updates.
