I’m really proud to announce this month’s Beyond the px guest, Una Kravets. Una is currently the director of product design at Bustle.com, a female-oriented digital publisher. She has vast experience working in product teams from some of the world’s biggest teams, including IBM and Digital Ocean.

On top of her expert design and front end skills, she runs several Instagram accounts showcasing her brush lettering and doodling skills.

Can you explain briefly who Bustle are?

Bustle Digital Group (BDG) is the largest digital publisher focusing on millennial women. We run the properties of Bustle, The Zoe Report, Elite Daily, and Romper (and we’re growing!).

What has been your design journey up until now?

I started playing with “graphic design” for the first time on the Palace visual chat client when I was way too young to be on the internet alone (seriously, I was like 7). It was a community in which I could participate in cartoon dollz contests and create clothing pixel-by-pixel from a 256 color pallet.

I was hooked.
