The Harris-Trump Debate

I watched it and had a Tuna on Rye and a pickle

Overall, Trump got crushed.

That’s what I saw. I know out in the heartland of America they think Trump won. I get that. But, in terms of debate, in terms of being clear on your position, Harris was clear many times, and she argued her position very well many times. She was the clear winner on multiple issues. Abortion. Ukraine. Israel — Palestine. Race.

Donald Trump was his usual, rambling, disorganized self who didn’t make the case for himself or against Harris. He got off a few nice shots but mostly, he was scattered in thought and delivery.

I thought Trump did well at the end in his final statement and I also thought he did well on the economy questions but he didn’t say anything new. He looked like he didn’t really plan well for this. I doubt he was well studied. He looked like he did have a plan but her attacks threw him off his game and he went full attack but it wasn’t much of an attack.

He also got baited several times into wasting his time talking about things that did him no good. This worked well for Harris especially on topics where she was vulnerable like inflation and immigration.

I thought her best moments were when she flipped the soft on crime angle from Trump to reminding people…
