STZ Token Utility — NFT Renting

99Starz is shattering the barrier of entry for play-to-earn gaming through rentable NFT assets and guild formations!

We hope you’ve all had an amazing December, taking an opportunity to celebrate the holidays with your family and friends. During all the festivities, we had a hectic couple of weeks, closing out partnerships, listing the STZ token and taking the first steps to make 99Starz a reality. As always, the 99Starz team was fully focused on bringing the Play 2 Earn model to millions of players and we would like to take the time to talk about the STZ token.

How is the STZ token utilized within the platform?

The first and foremost use of the STZ tokens is for NFT asset renting. It’s our mission to allow STZ token holders to participate in any P2E game, without limits.

We’ve already started this as last week, we’ve opened a new guild in Thetan Arena, a mobile MOBA game. Users that hold at least 500 STZ tokens are eligible to receive accounts with 3 heroes each and participate in the Thetan Arena game to earn real-world rewards.

Currently, the 99Starz master players are scouting other games and collecting NFT assets in preparation to onboard more players into the guilds.

We’ll be sharing information of how the 99Starz platform and players are doing once there’s enough data.

As of now, we’re already working on implementing NFT renting as a core feature of the 99Starz platform.

Why rent NFTs instead of buying them?

When buying NFTs for a particular game — you’re making a big commitment. You’re locking yourself into a certain game strategy and a particular game. If you would like to switch games or strategies, you would need to buy a completely different set of NFTs.

This wouldn’t be a problem, but NFTs can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars upfront. So, without extensive game knowledge you get stuck in one of these two situations:

• You have a complete set of playable NFTs, but they’re not competitive.
• You simply don’t like the game, but you can’t switch due to your investment.

NFT renting solves both of these problems, you can switch games whenever you like. And, you can switch strategies at will. This allows for flexible yield farming.
