Care

Light

Epipremnum prefers bright indirect light. It can survive in lower light conditions but growth may slow. Keep out of direct sunlight for extended periods, as it can burn the leaves.

Watering

Hailing from the Caribbean as this plant does, it likes moist environments best. In the summertime, keep the soil moist but not soggy. In the wintertime, allow the top half-inch of soil to dry between waterings. You can spritz the leaves with water and wipe them down with a cloth to remove dust.

Soil

When established in a container, it requires peat-based potting media. Outdoors, it is suitable for light sandy, medium loamy, and heavy clay soils with acid or neutral pH. Even so, it thrives most in well-drained, moderately moist soil.

Humidity

Tolerant of dry air, but likes humidity. Try to maintain 40% relative humidity or higher.

Temperature

Epipremnum enjoys the warmth, preferably between 65–85 degrees, so maintain indoor temperatures above 60 degrees. Avoid cold drafts and sudden temperature changes.

Fertilizing

Feed with general houseplant fertilizer every 2 months during the growing season (spring to summer).
