This essay (and its responses) represents a need that some people have to engage in a war between genders. I don’t understand this need of some to see the world as “us versus them.” I also don’t understand why some don’t see this war as the artificial construct that it is.
“If you question me then you belittle me” is a crappy attitude. Not everybody who questions you means you ill. Some do (obviously) but some don’t (also obviously). The value of the question should not be determined by the gender of the questioner.
I also have fears about the impact of an abusive narcissist in office but believe responding to his sexism with more of the same is counterproductive.
