The first Harry Potter book was 19 years ago?!
In 2017, it’ll be the 20th anniversary of the Harry Potter series. Let’s recap how far we have come since the first book.
We’ve had the books translated into various languages, 8 film adaptations + 1 spin-off on the way (Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them), 14 games on various platforms, Pottermore, theme park attractions- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, UK behind-the-scenes tour & most recently, a stage production- Harry Potter and The Cursed Child. But no Harry Potter Go. Sorry guys, that one was a hoax.
Coincidence?: Harry Potter and The Cursed Child was revealed (on the Pottermore website earlier this year) to be events taking place 19 years after the closing chapter of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This year marks the 19th anniversary since the release of the first Harry Potter book.
In celebration of the newly released Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, let’s have a look at some Harry Potter collectable items that might excite the inner child in you- again!

Side note: As you can see, the title font differs between the UK & US versions. Watch out for that as you complete the collection!
By the way, this book is huge (& heavy)! However, it’s a trivial “price” to pay while you relive the HP experience in Jim Kay’s take on the wizarding world. Perhaps a worthy investment to captivate your kids?
