Why I chose Thread Lift in SW1 Clinic Singapore
Have you ever experienced looking older than you really are? I have, and it’s not a very good experience.
At the early age of 48, the skin on my face has started to slightly sag thanks to the stress at work and rush lifestyle of the corporate world here in Singapore. The sagginess got so bad that most of my friends and co-workers have started asking if I was okay.
Most of the time, I got the occasional “Mary, you look old!” when I meet up with some of my university friends over dinner and I would shyly tell them that I just need a little rest. Of course, rest didn’t do much help with the sagging problem.
I tried to look for solutions to my sagging skin, and that’s when I found SW1 clinic in Singapore. For me, they’re the best aesthetic clinic in Singapore — not only because they’re good with what they do, but because they carry a very meaningful philosophy.
“The only limits that exist are the ones in your own mind.”
This is the philosophy of SW1, and one that heavily resonates with me as a woman in my late 40s. At this age, sometimes you believe that you are now limited in what you can do; that you can’t look as young as you used to. But SW1 has proven that even at this age, I can still look young and fresh.
When I approached them, I told them of my sagging issue on my face and how I felt about it. They immediately told me that a Singapore thread lift procedure was a solution to my problem: it was minimally invasive, and the downtime wasn’t long so I can go back to work as soon as possible.
At first, I was really nervous about going through the procedure. Even if the thread lift procedure is a minimally invasive procedure, it still involved needles and injections which is very frightening. I often asked my attendant for assurance that the procedure is safe and won’t be painful. Luckily she was very understanding and assured me every time that thread lift was safe.
Since there was a lot of area around my face that needed a thread lift, the procedure took around an hour to complete. I was put on local anaesthesia, so I was able to witness the whole thread lift procedure.
After the procedure, I felt bruising around the treated areas. It was quite painful and was really uncomfortable, but my attendant said it would disappear after a week’s rest. There were also a few marks on my face where the threads were inserted, but it was very small and easy enough to cover with make-up. I was able to return to work after a week and a couple of days.
Overall, the thread lift procedure was a big success. My friends were surprised to see me look younger and blooming after the thread lift procedure and even complimented how firm my skin was. I’m really thankful for SW1 clinic and I really consider them the best aesthetic clinic in Singapore.
