This whole article reads as narcissistic justification to being selfish and conceited, which in it’s entirety could be discussed with a friend, but it seems you’re lacking those.
Times have changed in regards to community. That much is true. We don’t need to see people in our vicinity any longer since we don’t rely on them. We can get our base survival needs met with very minimal interaction. Specifically, most workers/services are forced by law to be provided if the money is there. So kudos to you for understanding the system.
But I wonder how well you’d fare in the event of some cataclysmic event where food isn’t readily available, electricity isn’t at your fingertips, and shelter won’t be so easy to find.
Having friends you could rely on would be quite nice when the time came. Until then, enjoy being a tourist.
