Bulls past five drafts have gotten them: Erik Murphy, Marquis Teague, Tony Snell, Cam Bairstow, Niko Mirotic, Doug McDermott, Bobby Portis, Paul Zipser, Denzel Valentine, and Markkanen. Not to mention the guys they wanted to draft and ended up trading for: Kris Dunn, Cam Payne, Jerian Grant, and MCW.

Of that bunch they still have Mirotic, Portis, Zipser, Valentine, Markkanen, Dunn, Payne, Grant… Is there a future all star in that bunch? Highly doubt it. Bulls would be lucky if they even get 2 decent starters from this group. If none of these players develop, and the Bulls wiff on the draft and free agency next year, its time for Gar/Pax to go. The one thing I will give them credit for is keeping the cap flexible and positioning themselves to be big players in 2018 when there can potentially be a lot of stars on the market.

Finally, if you’re big thing is that you decided to choose the path of rebuilding, why do you trade a good looking rookie who is a low risk/high reward 2nd round pick for cash considerations, AND give up the 16th pick in the Butler trade!?? If Bell or Patton blossom into good players, and/or Markkanen is a bust God have mercy on Gar/Pax.
