I’ve been living this cycle for years and you know, it felt great…..until September last year when my panic attacks began. Then i couldn’t sleep anymore and my productivity as a designer tanked.
So in 2018, I vowed to stop grinding. I stopped taking on commissioned work and decided to focus on myself, physically and mentally.
So far, it’s been okay. I’m not as flush in cash as I used to be but I get less phone calls and more peace of mind. My panic attacks have dropped (they only trigger when I’m under extreme stress) and I sleep relatively better now.
